Mangalore, Oct 7:  On the night of Wednesday October 6, a person named Rohitash (25) hailing from Rajasthan, was murdered. The murder came to light on Thursday October 7 morning.

Reportedly, Rohitash and four to five of his friends, used to stay together in a rented room in Mannagudda in the city. They were working in different parts of the city, and a couple of them work for a transport firm.  On a frivolous issue, these roommates had a prolonged fight, as differences of opinion had arisen among them on Wednesday night, before going to bed. After the fight, all of them had slept.

Allegedly, one of the roommates, Sandip Soni, who was unable to control his anger, got up past midnight, when all his roommates were sleeping, and stabbed Rohitash to death with a sharp weapon. He is absconding.

On a complaint lodged by one of the roommates of the deceased, a case has been registered in Barke police station. Investigations are on, and the policemen are trying to nab the murderer.
