Haveri, Sep 6: In an accident which happened on national highway near Kakol in district on Saturday September 4, five persons suffered serious injuries after hitting a lorry from behind.

After the accident, the lorry dragged the car for about one kilometre. Surprisingly the lorry driver failed to notice the accident. The car was moving to Byadagi town from Bengaluru when it rammed into a loaded truck from Tamil Nadu and got stuck to the back of the truck. The driver of the lorry, unaware of the accident, stopped the vehicle and checked after people moving in other vehicles told him. Car driver, Pradeep, was among the injured.

The injured have been admitted into the hospital at Davanagere.

    My Goodness,was the driver under drugs or had alcohol drinks.Not normal when car in front of him was met with accident with his lorry?Or was sleeping.?cant understand.Hope Police controlled this?He should be arrested and jailed.Hope injured people get cured fast.
