Mandya, Aug 26: "If Manmohan Singh government was in power now at the centre, it would have brought Talibanis from Afghanistan instead of Indians, with an eye on vote bank," commented BJP state president, Nalin Kumar Kateel. He was speaking after presiding over a meeting of BJP office bearers here on Wednesday August 25 where he said that the Modi government has successfully rescued Indians stranded in Afghanistan.
"India is being transformed into a country which Swami Vivekananda dreamt of. We have got the presidentship of the security council of the United Nations. We have been giving prominence to drinking water, irrigation and power generation. The world is taking notice of India that has been moving ahead on the path of transformation," he added.
He also said that chief minister Bommai has announced many schemes towards realizing the welfare Karnataka dream of B S Yediyurappa. He announced that at any cost, Mekedatu project will be executed.
Kateel said that the Congress has become intellectually bankrupt and hence it pursued the strategy of halting of Lok Sabha session. He said that many leaders in the Congress support China and Pakistan, and that the Punjab Congress chief has talked about independent Kashmir. He expressed happiness at the fact that for the first time, a BJP councillor has become Mysuru mayor.
