Mangaluru, Aug 16: As a big relief to the Gulf-bound passengers, the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) has tied up with Apollo Diagnostics to offer Rapid RT-PCR tests to passengers at the airport premises. The service was launched on Monday at the MIA after conducting successful dry runs for the last few days.
As per the health requirements for the Gulf bound passengers, each passenger must have a negative rapid RT-PCR test conducted at the airport 4 hour prior to boarding the flight. In order to make it easier for the passengers to take their flights to Middle East and beyond, MIA tied with the Apollo to provide the facility.
Apollo has provided a team of expert pathologists, state-of-the-art equipment and stringent quality processes to conduct the Rapid RT PCR tests at the MIA. The tests will be conducted at a safe and sterile environment for the passengers with all Covid SOPs protocols in place. Passengers are advised to travel well in advance so that all passengers can be tested in time.
As of now, Apollo offers a wide spectrum of tests through its hospital and clinic facilities across the country.
The MIA has undertaken various safety measures and has implemented numerous SOPs, including the preventive measures laid down by the government to safeguard the passengers’ wellbeing and curb the spread of the virus.
Acting as a key driver in promoting domestic tourism and continuing to work in conjunction with airline operators, the MIA offers world-class services and facilities to its passengers and leaves them with a memorable experience of their journey through the airport.
