Mangalore: Motivational Training Held for Youth of Allipade Parish

Mangalore, Sep 23: The Allipade parish unit of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) organized youth convention and motivational training to its youth members at Allipade parish hall here, recently. 

Fr Walter D’souza, parish priest of Allipade parish inaugurated the programme. He assured the whole-hearted support to all the youth activities of 2010-11. 

Chief guest Gerald Pinto, parish vice-president called upon the youth to work hard and put cohesive efforts to become good and responsible citizens of India.

Resource person Dr Ronald Cutinha, director of Samanvaya conducted the training.

He said, “I am providing you the wings today. It is upto you to fly ans soar high in life. He also explained the reasons for youth problems and described the present situation of the youth through various incidents, stories and powerpoint presentation. Participants took active part in group discussion and presentation.

Parish secretary Robert Vas was present on the dais. ICYM president David Roshan welcomed and introduced the guests and Wilma compered the programme. 70 youth participated in the training programme.
