Udupi: Man comes in contact with electrocuted metal ladder, dies

Udupi, Aug 10: In an unfortunate incident a Hebri resident has died of electrocution on Tuesday August 10.

Laxmish Hebbar (54), resident of Kabbinale grama, Hebri Taluk had lifted from a wall the metal ladder that is used to climb Areca nut tree in the Areca nut vegetation when the ladder tip came into contact with live high tension wire. As the current passed through his body, he could not speak.

He was rushed to Hebri Raghavendra hospital at 11.20 am but the doctor declared that he had died on the way.

A case at Hebri police station under UDR No. 26/2021 section 174 CRPC is registered in this connection.
