Udupi: District administration equipped to face Covid's third wave – Sunil Kumar

Udupi, Aug 9: “The district administration is making all the necessary preparations to face Covid;s third wave. The government’s efforts will be successful and the society will remain in good health when the public and the individuals join hands in the efforts of the government,” said Karnataka state minister of energy, Kannada and culture V Sunil Kumar.

He was speaking in a programme held at Udupi district hospital premises today to hand over an ambulance costing Rs 16.5 lac donated by Laxmi Venkatesh Credit cooperative society limited to the district administration.

“The government has successfully faced all the challenges faced by the health department during the Covid pandemic. It was possible to sustain the stability of the health department during Covid first and second waves because of the donations and help from local groups and associations extended in the government’s work. It is difficult for the government to shoulder the entire responsibility. I am grateful to all the groups and organizations that joined hands with the government,” he said.

MLA Raghupathi Bhat, Udupi urban development authority president Raghavendra Kini, district surgeon Dr Madhusoodan Nayak, DHO Dr Nagabhooshan Udupa, Laxmi Venkatesh Credit cooperative society limited president M Srinivas Bhat and others were present.
