Panaji, Aug 9: Anwar Shaikh alias Tiger Anwar, notorious criminal of Goa, was killed at Havanoor of Haveri district of Karnataka.
Shaikh had survived an attempt on his life at Fatorda earlier this year. He was done to death with a sharp weapon. According to police sources, old enmity between the killer and deceased Anwar was the reason for him being murdered.
Shaikh was severely injured in February this year as a gang attacked him at Fatorda with iron rods and knives and also shot at him. He had many cases booked against him in various police stations throughout Goa.
