Bengaluru, Aug 5: Karnataka on Thursday, Aug 5 registered 1,785 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 24,414. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 414.
As many as 25 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Thursday, with Bengaluru Urban recording five deaths, the death toll in the state has risen to 36,705.
The state recorded 1,651 discharges from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total discharges to 28,52,368.
So far, Karnataka has seen 29,13,512 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.10% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.40%.
As many as 3,20,83,453 people have received vaccination so far.
