Bengaluru, Aug 4: "The Congress members of parliament, by walking out of the house when a bill against terrorism was moved, made it amply clear lthat that party has no concern about the safety and security of the country. This is another incident that has laid bare the facade of the Congress party," said BJP state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
He recalled that when in power, the Congress used to table bills that were anti-Hindu in nature. "Now, when a bill aimed at finding out and acting against anti-nationals is moved, the party instead of supporting it, chose to boycott the session. This lays bare the pro-terrorist stance of the Congress," he analysed.
Kateel said that when the time for voting for the bill came, all the Congress MPs boycotted the session by claiming that the bill was defective. "I do not understand why Sonia Gandhi and the Congress are sympathetic towards the people who extended financial support to the terrorists and turned them into terrorists with the help of Jihadi literature," he remarked.
The BJP-led government at the centre has adopted a bill as per which those who provide funds to terrorists and those who supply Jihadi literature are treated as terrorists. Kateel said he is thankful to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah, for this initiative.
