Chikkaballapur, Aug 3: In an incident that took place in the city, the health department blatantly violated the Covid norms and stuffed 10 paramedical students in one Swift Dzire car belonging to the department.
The paramedical students had visited the office of taluk health officer for training. They were sent to field visit in the Swift Dzire car belonging to the department. The driver of the car took nine students in the car in one trip.
In a car, including the driver, five people can travel. One person can be accommodated extra if he or she is a minor. However, in this case nine female paramedical students were taken in the car. Seven were stuffed in the back seat while two sat in the front along with the driver.
The health department which asks the public to maintain safe distance and wear masks has openly violated the guidelines. The life of paramedical students is put in danger because of this act by the irresponsible health department officials.
