Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Aug 3: In view of the fact that Covid cases in Dakshina Kannada district are not showing any appreciable decline, the officials here plan to subject all the family members living here to Covid tests, in case their house is visited by relatives or friends from Kerala.

People living in Kerala villages like Adoor, Mulleria, Badiadka, Perla, Nettanige, Padre and other parts of Kerala are in regular contact with people living in Puttur taluk and people frequently visit various spots in Kasargod and Puttur routinely as they have close contacts. The department has a long list of Kerala registration vehicles which keep visiting Puttur taluk for different purposes regularly. The officials are afraid that the Covid scenario in Puttur and adjoining Kadaba taluk might worsen unless all contacts between the people of these two areas are totally cut off for some time.
