Bengaluru, Aug 2: The BJP leaders and workers are waiting with bated breath for the announcement of the chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai's ministry expansion exercise. The CM is on a New Delhi visit for the second time on ministry formation. The high command, based on information collected from its own sources, has prepared its own list. There is hectic lobbying by various legislators while a few have left it to the discretion of the high command.
There is a possibility of dropping some seniors from the ministry. Jagadish Shettar, K S Eshwarappa, Govind Karjol, Prabhu Chauhan, Kota Srinivas Poojary, C C Patil, Shashikala Jolle etc might not find themselves in the new ministry, as per sources. Among the migrants, R Shankar, MTB Nagaraj and Shrimant Patel may be dropped.
A young legislator from Karkala, Sunil Kumar, Kudachi MLA P Rajeev, Nanjangud MLA Harshavardhan, Hiriyur MLA, Poornima Sriinivas, and Karwar MLA Rupali Naik, may be made ministers this time. Halady Srinvias Shetty and S A Ramdas are in the list of probables. Aravind Bellad, who was striving to become chief minister, may bag an important portfolio.
Ashok, Sriramulu, Somanna, Umesh Katti, Murugesh Nirani, Madhuswamy, Ashwath Narayan, Aravind Limbavali, Laxman Savadi, Suresh Kumar, S Angara, S T Somashekhar, K Sudhakar, Gopalayya, B C Patil, Byrathi Basavaraj, Narayana gowda, Shivaram Hebbar, Mukniratna, Anand Singh, may retain their seats. New faces which are likely to make it in addition to the above are Raju Gowda from Surpur, and Halady Srinivas Shetty from Kundapur.
