Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Aug 2: The education department had passed pre-university (PU) students based on their first PU and SSLC marks, without holding any examination in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The result of the same was announced on July 20. The PU board had also given an instruction that those who reject these results have to take the examination in the month of August. The scores which they get in the re-examination will be final.

Now 878 students have rejected the results announced by the PU board. So the PU board has decided to hold examinations for them on August 19. Out of the six lac students that were passed by the PU board, 878 students have rejected the results. In Bellary district alone, 237 students have rejected the results. Out of them, 221 are freshers and 16 are repeaters. The specialty is that 104 students of Kottoor Indu PU College have rejected the results. Every year, art students of this college used to secure ranks.

The students who have rejected the result say that their first PU and SSLC marks are less. So they want to score high by writing the examination.

Students in India, programed in rote-learning by parents, teachers and society to madly run after marks instead of seeking knowledge and enhancing skills. Each generation hopes that the next one will improve the education system - shrugging off their own responsibility.
