Kundapur, Jul 28: "Values in all the fields are getting weaker. It has been weighed in terms of money, power and publicity. As we are living in the society where things can be obtained by the fingertips, there is a need for restoration of human values," said thinker, litterateur Vivekananda HK.

He was speaking in a programme organised by the Kalakshetra Kundapura on his march (Padayatra) throughout the state on Tuesday July 28.

"There is a feeling that the bad and the cheaters are celebrating in the society. A few years ago, there was respect for good people. Hence, there is a necessity of respecting such good people. If our hearts, homes and words change within the next 15 years, we can restore human values in society,” he said.

Vivekananda, hailing from Bengaluru Rural, is basically an advertisement producer. To restore the human values and to understand the society from too close, he has taken a state-wide foot march. Before entering Kundapur, he had completed 269 Padayatras by travelling 8,200 kilometres.

Senior writer ASN Hebbar, president of Kundapur Kalakshetra Kishor Kumar Kundapur, town municipal council member Girish Devadiga, Joy J Carvalho and others were present.
