Mangalore Sep 16: Activists of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the students' wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party, held a protest against the “commercialization of the country's education” system in front of deputy commissioner’s office on Thursday September 16.
Addressing the protestors ABVP city unit secretary Mahesh said that the overall education expenses has mounted up and it is time that the government introduces laws to curb the rapid commercialization of the education scene in the country for poor students are finding it hard to gain education.
He urged the centre and state to enact law to stop commercialization of education, especially professional courses wherein law should be enforced to have uniform entrance, and reduction of course fees among others.
Stuednts from various colleges from the city participated in the protest.
