Mangaluru, Jul 22: Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, Dr Rajendra K V, has issued an order as per which the Covid19 lockdown has been conditionally relaxed in respect of cinema halls, degree education, engineering and skill development training centres.
As per the guidelines already in vogue, night curfew will be in force from 10 pm to 5 am.
With the condition that Covid19 model rules are scrupulously followed, cinema halls, multiplexes, theatres, halls and other facilities like the halls have been permitted to be operated up to 50 percent seating capacity.

Colleges and other institutions falling under the department of higher education have been permitted to reopen from July 26 with the condition that Covid19 guidelines are followed without any exception. Students who have obtained at least one dose of the covid19 vaccine, teaching and non-teaching staff and other staff alone are permitted to be present in the colleges and institutions. Personal attendance of students is optional.
Long term engineering courses, skill development training classes etc can be opened by following Covid rules. Students, teaching and non-teaching staff and other staff who have got at least a single dose of the Covid vaccine are permitted to attend.
The deputy commissioner also said that the Covid19 special surveillance steps in respect of people coming from Maharashtra and Kerala states will continue to be in force until further orders.
