Bengaluru, Jul 20: State minister for primary and secondary education, S Suresh Kumar, announced the results of Karnataka Pre-University Education (PUE) or PU examinations on Tuesday July 20. A total of 6,66,497 lac students who had appeared in the PU exams will get their results through the website- http://karresults.nic.in.
The results of 3,35,138 boys and 3,31,359 girls was announced. As many as 4,50,106 students have secured distinction and first class. A total of 1,95,056 boys and 2,52,056 girls have secured distinction and first class, 1,47, 055 second class, and 68,729 students have managed to pass.
Out of the total 6,60,497 students, 5,90,153 were regular while 76,344 were repeaters. The results of 2,51,686 students from commerce, 2,19,777 from science, and 1,95,334 arts stream was announced.
Like other boards, the II PUC exam was also affected due to COVID-19 pandemic and no exams were conducted. Hence, 45 percent of marks obtained in the first PU, 45 percent of marks obtained in SSLC examination and ten percent of internal assessment marks have been put together to announce the result.
As many as 445 students from Dakshina Kannada (DK) have secured 600 out of 600 to bag the top spot in the state. Bengaluru South stands second with 302 students, Bengaluru North third with 261 students, Udupi fourth with 149 students and with 104 students, Hassan has bagged the fifth spot.
