Udupi, Jul 19: Sources stated that husband of Vishala Ganiga, Ramakrishna Ganiga has been reportedly taken into custody by the police.
Ramakrishna had been asked to attend police inquiry every day after he arrived from abroad few days ago. But in the due process of investigation, police have reportedly found his involvement in the incident and he has been taken to custody for the same.
Six police teams are working on the case. Most of the teams are stationed outside the state and few key persons in connection with the incident have been taken into custody by the police, sources stated.
Police also suspect that contract killers from outside the state were reportedly used in the murder.
Udupi superintendent of police Vishnuvardhan has not yet given any official confirmation about the arrest of Ramakrishna Ganiga. The department is hoping to solve the mystery in a couple of days.
The teams working outside the state have also succeeded in getting the key leads.
