Mangaluru-Kasargod KSRTC bus service to resume from July 19

Mangaluru, Jul 18: The state government has permitted resumption of KSRTC bus transport service from Mangaluru to Kasargod in order to facilitate the general public, students and employees, from Monday July 19.

The resumption order however comes with strict conditions on adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines.

The passengers who travel by KSRTC or private buses should have taken at least the first dose of Covid vaccine or carry RT-PCR negative test report not older than 72 hours. The bus conductor should verify and ensure that the passengers meet these requirements.

The passenger should follow Covid appropriate behaviour. Whoever violates the guidelines will be booked under Karnataka Epidemic Act-2020 and Disaster Management Act 2005, informed deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V through a media release.

The release also stated that the people should act cautiously to contain the third wave of Covid-19 and strictly follow the Covid-19 guidelines.
