Jul 13: Dakshina Kannada records 222 new Covid cases, 9 deaths; Udupi reports 96 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 13: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday, July 13 reported 222 new coronavirus cases, taking the total number of positive cases to 95,772. The positivity rate of the district is 3.13%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 11,43,751 samples have been tested, of which 10,47,979 are negative.

There are currently 1,955 active cases in the district.

As many as 260 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday and raising the number of recoveries to 92,483.

The district recorded nine deaths on Tuesday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,334.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 98,04,717 in fines for 80,410 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 7,18,759 samples have been tested so far.

On Tuesday, Udupi reported 96 new cases of coronavirus. The total number of positive cases are 67,769 out of which 866 are currently active.

A total of 67 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the total recoveries to 66,501.
