Mangaluru, Jul 11: State BJP president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel on Sunday July 11 said that Congress has been an inspiration for rowdyism and all wrongdoings in the country.

Nalin, who was speaking to the reporters in the city and giving his response on the matter of KPCC president D K Shivakumar slapping a worker who placed his hand on his shoulder, said, “Whatever we do, society always monitors our movement. Workers of the party convey their demands, wants and expectations to us. We have to treat them respectfully when they approach us.

“None of the politicians should cross limits in behaviour. This is not the right attitude. Through this incident, we come know the culture of Congress leaders. This is not the first time that a Congress leader has assaulted a party worker. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah had called for war inside the Vidhana Soudha. Hence, one who has shown disrespect to Vidhana Soudha, will not respect party workers. Who does not call Congress a party of rowdies? Rowdyism is present in their personality itself. Not only rowdyism, but they are an inspiration for all the wrongdoings in this country,” he said.

It may be recalled, D K Shivakumar had come to the multispecialty hospital at K M Doddu in order to enquire on the health of former MP G Madegowda. When he was entering the hospital, a man tried to place his hand on his shoulder. Shivakumar immediately slapped the worker on his head. As the video of the incident went viral, BJP started to criticize him.
