People had a lot of expectations when he was railway minister. Unfortunately did nothing for Mangalore. His resignation now doesn't make any difference to DK or Udupi.

I totally agree with Janardhan Kaup/Dubai. No minister has the power to issue a statement or to take an independent decision. Unless one is a minister like Ravi Shankar Prasad or Javdekar who are in the cabinet only to spring to Modi's defence whenever he is pushed into a corner, the others are there only to bring up the numbers. Not that too many qualified and worthy ministers are in the cabinet, the notable exceptions being Piyush Goyal and Suresh Prabhu and even they are being wasted. Just as nobody can come up in the Congress as long as Rahul Gandhi is at the helm of affairs, nobody in the BJP can come up as long as Modi is in charge. It is a one man show. Unfortunately, the country and the people are suffering.

I don't know if they can make money under Modi Govt, but I'm sure all these ministers are powerless and useless for general public.
