Bangalore, Sep 8: City-based realty firm United Land Bank has entered into an understanding with Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA) on providing overseas exposure to first grade artistes of Karnataka.
The primary objective of the pact is to spread Kannada culture and literature across the globe and to ttract investments from non-resident Kannadigas into their home state. It also proposes to establish a professionally managed body to safeguard the immovable assets of overseas Kannadigas.
The MoU inked on the sidelines of the ongoing sixth AKKA sammelan, entails an initial investment of Rs two million by United Land Bank will benefit non-resident Kannadigas in North America, Britain and Canada, ULB Chairman Pradeep Kumar has said. A committee of experts will be appointed to select senior grade artistes and to provide them a platform to showcase their talent in western countries.
