Mangaluru, Jul 5: After a gap of over two months, the religious places and malls are being opened on Monday May 5. After the government announced its decision to open these places in its Unlock-3 measures, temples are preparing to welcome the devotees. Sanitization and cleaning work were taken up in the temple premises on a war footing on Sunday July 4.

While the visitors can only pay obeisance to the Lord and not permitted to offer any services to the deity, namaz is permitted to be held in mosques subject to adherence to Covid19 rules like using sanitisers, wearing of masks and maintaining social distance.

Subrahmanya temple management said that devotees cannot stay in the temple lodges. In Dharmasthala too people can have the darshan of the deity but will not be served Prasadam unlike in the past. Dakshina Kannada Qazi, Alhaj Thwaka Ahmed Musliyar has requested the people to attend to cleansing process (vaza) at home and bring cloth used on the floor during Namaz (musalla) from home. Public relations officer of Mangalore diocese, Roy Castelino, said that all the churches will are open and prayers can be organized there.

On Sunday, malls in the city were cleaned up and sanitized. Dakshina Kannada district Private Bus Owners Association president, Dilraj Alva, said that in all likelihood, about a hundred buses will take to the roads on Monday. He said that the buses plan to miss the last trip as the state government has allowed bus movement only till 9 pm.

As the places of worship are open, we as members of different religions, have opportunity to worship God. Just doing that is not enough. On and above that, as a father, it is my duty to see enough food is there on the table for all members of my family and I have to work hard for their welfare. First and foremost, before going to church, I have to realize that all people irrespective of belief, wealth and status are equal to me, since, they are God's children. In the company I worked,a peon asked the management whether his job is important to the company. MD replied, his job is as important as his, otherwise company would not keep him in payroll.

There was a security guard in a warehouse. The owners had full faith on him and he was pampered with gifts, goodies and all and more than what he needs. Once a robber tried to break in. As soon as he was able to get in, security guard locked himself up in his cabin. He was not available even on phone. He wouldn't answer the calls of the owners too. Finally when the robber had shifted most of the goods and tired, the guard slowly unlocked the door. When the robber left, he opened the door, came back to his routine and started accepting the pamperings as before!!!
