Mangalore, Sep 7: The annual general body meeting of Gowda Saraswath Brahmins' (GSB) Temples’ Association was held at the hall of Sri Srinivasa Nigamagama Pathashala in the city on Sunday September 5.
The members chose K Radhakrishna Shenoy as the president if tge assicuatuib for the next year, while C Lakshman Shenoy was elected as the vice president. K Madhav Kamath became the treasurer. G Vishwanath Kamath and T Ganapathi Pai were elected unanimously as secretary and joint secretary of the association, respectively.
At the symposium held at the meeting later, various issues concerning the temples like Religious Endowments Act, income tax, and Mulgeni abolition bill were discussed. Views were also exchanged over the pros and cons of various moves. Representatives of various temples participated.
