Common man in trouble: Domestic LPG cylinder price hiked by Rs 25

Daijiworld Media Network – New Delhi

New Delhi, Jul 1: After hike in prices of petrol and diesel, non-subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have been increased by Rs 25 on July 1.

With the latest price hike, LPG prices have gone up by Rs 140 per 14.2-kg cylinder in the last six months. The price hike comes along with the steep hike in petrol price which is inching towards a three-digit figure in several metro cities.

The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has been increased by Rs 76.

Meanwhile, international oil prices have climbed in recent weeks on optimism of a quick recovery in fuel demand.

Based on the international benchmark rate of LPG and the exchange rate of US dollar and rupee, LPG cylinder rates are revised at the beginning of each month.

"A man took a small utensil, inverted it, made a hole in it and put a pipe through that. Gas used to emanate from the gutter and using that pipeline, he used the gas for his tea stall," he had said.

Jeevan, if population more, cylinders are sold more. Since the rates are high, theres good income to the govt. If govt controls the population, we have to pay five times more for cylinders. Are you ready ? Or should ve be ready to cook by the firewood by nodding. Firewood also costly as forests are cut for greedy purposes and selfishness....smoke is dangerous for our environment .
