Madikeri: Makeshift swing made from saree chokes two children to death

Daijiworld Media Network - Madikeri (SP)

Madikeri, Jul 1: In a tragic incident which happened in Unjigana Halli, Ganagur near Somwarpet in the district on Wednesday June 30 evening, two children who were having fun playing on a swing they had made by using their mother's saree, lost their lives.

The victims were Munishka (14) and Poornesh (12), children of Raju and Jayanthi. Raju works as a coolie.

When the incident happened, none else was at home. As the swing suddenly twisted and tightened around their necks, the children choked to death. The incident came to light when Ramanna, grandfather of the children, who had gone out for work, returned home. He immediately untied the saree and brought the children down, but by then, they were no more alive.

Police circle inspector Mahesh, sub-inspector Sridhar and other staff visited the spot, and registered a case.

No words enough to express my heartfelt sympathy to the parents.very heartwrenching incident.Sometimes things happen which we humans cant avoid however you take care.Gods wish is different.Children must have thought of playing since parents or home people were not around. And it got simply twisted around neck and got choked .Sadly noone around to help them.I dont think any outsiders were in this involved. That too two children all of a sudden to loose ,is very hard.May God give them enough strength to bear their pain .May the souls both children rest in Heaven in peace.
