Bengaluru, Jun 30: Karnataka on Wednesday, June 30 reported a decline in the number of new coronavirus cases, with Karnataka recording 3,382 new infections.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 76,505. Bengaluru Urban reported a single-day tally of 813 new cases on Wednesday.

As many as 111 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, with Mysuru, Bengaluru Urban and Ballari recording, 14, 11 and 9 deaths respectively. With this, the toll so far has risen to 35,040.

The state recorded 12,763 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 27,32,242.

So far, Karnataka has seen 28,43,810 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day has dropped to 1.97%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 3.28%.

As many as 2,26,62,318 people have received vaccination so far.
