Udupi, Jun 30: In an accident that was reported from Udyavar on Wednesday, June 30, a 27-year-old home guard Rakesh attached to the Mulky police station had suffered critical injuries to head and legs. As per the latest update, Rakesh is said to have succumbed to his injuries.
Rakesh who was working the night duty was travelling towards Udupi when the car he was in collided with a tanker that heading towards Udupi as well. Rakesh a resident of Kubevoor, was the son of Shantharama and Varija.
Given the seriousness of his injuries, Rakesh was also shifted to Adarsha Hospital, Udupi for advanced treatment. Unfortunately, he could not be saved.

Udupi, Jun 30: In an accident which occurred at Udyavar near here at around 5.30 am on Wednesday, June 30, a home guard personnel currently attached to Mulky police station (PS), suffered critical injuries. The injured home guard has been identified as Rakesh.
Rakesh (27) was deputed to work in Mulky police station. He was on night duty on the night of June 29. After the duty hours, Rakesh was going towards Udupi in his car when the car rammed into a gas tanker from behind. He suffered serious injuries to his head and legs. The gas tanker was also moving towards Udupi.
Rakesh was admitted into the district government hospital at Ajjarkad here. His condition is stated to be critical. Arrangements are being made to shift him to Adarsha Hospital Udupi for advanced treatment as he is found to be in need of the same.
