Kundapur: 30-year-old dies on spot in ghastly accident near Belve petrol pump

Kundapur, Jun 29: In an accident that occurred early in the morning on Tuesday June 29 near Belve petrol pump, a bike rider lost his life when a pick-up truck carrying poultry hit against his two-wheeler.

The deceased is identified as Laxman Naik (30), son of Mohan Naik, resident of Thombathu Irige in Hengavalli village. Laxman was going to the confectionary manufacturing factory where he was working.

The poultry pick up dragged the bike to quite a distance. As the pickup ran over him, Laxman he died on the spot.

The deceased was the pillar of his family. Among the six children of Mohan Naik, he was the only male child. Mohan Naik is sick. He has two daughters still to get married. The family has lost its bread winner.

A case in this connection is registered at Shankaranarayana police station.
