Bengaluru, Jun 24: "As Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, introduced the system of direct bank credit in relation to various financial assistance extended by the government, people who were corrupt, are now not being able to indulge in wrongdoing. Therefore, those leaders who were immersed in corruption are suffering," said union minister for coal, mines and parliamentary affairs, Pralhad Joshi.
He spoke at the BJP state-level e-training consultative session held under the presidentship of BJP state president, Nalin Kumar Kateel via Webex. "Even after the nationalisation of banks, poor people were not getting its benefit. The Prime Minister covered 46 crore bank accounts of the people under the Jan Dhan scheme and introduced direct bank credit. His measure applied brakes on corruption," he explained.
Joshi said that Modi supported the stand taken by Dr Shyam Prasad Mukherjee that no two laws can exist in one country. "Therefore, Modi removed the special status given to Kashmir under Article 370 and met this goal. The party workers have to convey information about the measures undertaken by the central government to implement the dreams of Dr Mukherjee to the people," he added.
He said that Kisan Samman is a scheme helping the farmers in a big way to become self reliant. He said airports have been developed under the Udaan scheme at Hubballi, Belagavi, Torabagal, Bidar and Kalaburagi. "Under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, lacs of villages will benefit. Under Ujala scheme, lacs of villages have got electricity connection," he stated.
Joshi cited the impetus laid by the central government to improve instrastructure and gave the example of Mysuru- Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Chennai corridor road. He said that about 86 lac people were vaccinated on Yoga Day. He mentioned about improving oxygen supply from 900 metric tonnes to 9,000 metric tonnes within a short period.
Party's state general secretary, Siddaraju, state secretary, Jagadish Hiremane and others took part in the training session.
