Mangalore, Sep 1: A J Institute of Management (AJIM), a unit of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust (LMET) organized a day-long workshop on Communication skills for the second year MBA students at the institute campus, recently.
A formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed between A J Institute of Management and Besant Evening College during the inaugural programme.
The inaugural address was delivered by Vivekananda B Hegde, branch head, ING Vysya Bank, here. He stressed upon the importance of communication in the corporate world.
The guest of honour Dr Sulochana D Rao, principal, Besant Evening College in her speech highlighted the significance of communication tools and urged the students to actively participate and derive the best from day long workshop.
The presidential remarks were conveyed by Dr T Jayaprakash Rao, director, A J Institute of Management. Robin Shinde, faculty of A J Institute of Management welcomed and introduced the guests. Preview of MOU was given by Candida Quadros, faculty of A J Institute of Management. Ravi S and Ashma D’Souza, students of A J Institute of Management were the master ceremony. Sweekrithi, student co-ordinator of A J Institute of Management proposed the vote of thanks.
The formal programme was followed by the day long workshop. Professor Molly Chaudhuri was the resource person.
A J Institute of Management secured 100% results in the final examination 2009-10.
