Mangalore Sep 1: Sr Saritha, headmistress of St Joseph's Higher Primary School, Kulashekar here, who served the institution for seven years was bid a warm farewell on her retirement on Tuesday August 31.
Teacher of the school, Symprosia delivered the farewell address. Sr Norma, the acting headmistress welcomed the gathering. The correspondent of the school Fr Valerian Pinto honoured Sr Saritha.
Fr Valerian Pinto addressing the gathering said that Sr Saritha has rendered selfless service to the institution. The discipline she maintained is an example for her good administration in the school. She also faced problems at the school in a more disciplined way.
The old students' association president Susheel Noronha honoured Sr Saritha on behalf of the organization.
Sr Saritha addressing the gathering thanked everyone for the co-operation extended to her and recollected the time with all the students and teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.
Teacher Celine Montero proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was conducted by teacher Lovisa D’Souza. Fr John Moras, Fr Arun Lobo, assistant parish priests Sr Liza and Sr Supriya of Santacruz Convent, managing committee member Edward Monteiro, Vidya Vas, Headmistress of St Josephs Highschool Sunitha, School pupil leader Riyan, Shane Menazes, Pavithra and Primal were present.
