Bengaluru, Jun 13: Even after the BJP top brass made it abundantly clear that they are not in favour of changing the state leadership, behind-the-scenes rumblings within the party have refused to die down. It is said that the dissidents now are demanding the scalp of BJP Karnataka state in-charge, Arun Singh. They are planning to request the national leaders to replace Singh.

In the meantime, MLA Arvind Bellad visited New Delhi all of a sudden. His Delhi visit raised a few eyebrows, but he quickly clarified that his visit was purely personal.
The dissidents, it is said, feel that Arun Singh, instead of having a balanced view, always leans in favour of chief minister B S Yediyurappa, whenever the national leaders seek a report on Karnataka. Therefore, it was said that Bellad might meet another leader to request him to attend to their grievances.
But during his Delhi visit, Bellad did not meet any of the leaders, it is learnt.
Even after Arun Singh asserted that Yediyurpapa will continue at the helm, a faction opposed to thie chief minister has kept the issue alive.
The parliamentary board of the BJP that takes final political decisions, is meeting on June 14. The meeting will discuss leadership change issues that have cropped up in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand states and take a decision. The faction opposed to the chief minister hopes that the leadership change demand in Karnataka may also be taken up at the said meeting.
