Udupi: Youth from Rajasthan gives camel rides during lockdown for a living

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS)

Udupi, Jun 12: Coronavirus pandemic has literally stalled all activities of tourism in the district of Udupi. Malpe beach is lying vacant without tourists. However, a youth from Rajasthan who arrived in the city during Covid is taking his camel from home to home in order to give a ride to people and earn a living.

Sunderlal came to Udupi after buying a camel from Rajasthan in order to give the tourists a ride and earn a living. However, the coronavirus pandemic upset his plans. But he devised a new plan and takes his came to every house and gives them rides. He goes to one particular residential area every day. He makes children sit on the back of the camel in front of the house itself and takes one round for Rs 10 or 20.

Speaking to reporters Sunderlal said, “Corona lockdown is in effect during the tourism season of the year. Last year too, I faced the same issue. I am finding it difficult to take care of the camel as well as my own living. So I have to earn a living every day. So I take utmost care and give camel rides to the public.”

Dear Readers, Let us be responsible citizens, Please do not quarrel here about covid getting spread because of this, if you are responsible you can have a camel ride, by wearing face mask, Gloves (if you are really afraid that you might get contracted to virus) , Do follow protocols as we are aware of it by not touching eyes, nose, washing hands, face etc. once you aree done. I feel the person is right with whatever he is doing !! He wants to earn a living and make himself survive and also the camel as mentioned in the article. The person saying "How he entered with Camel to Udupi from Rajasthan" Why cannot he enter Udupi and have business here? I don't think there is any sense in your question or your sentence!! Its business my dear you look out for better opportunities, like how we migrate to other city to earn living right. He is earning, let him earn, dont let him fail nor to his camel. Lets support him. I support him do you??

Already Covid 19 virus hampering most of the social activities. First of one rides the animal should be issued medical fitness to both the animal and the owner. one who sits must bath immediately to ensure that unknown virus/bacteria is properly sanitized in view of current situation.

Please help him and his camel, as both depend on the 10-20 Rs. what you pay for him for their food. Covid has devastated many youths, who are not so well educated and surviving on their own feet. Similarly, these youngsters are hard working unlike few in our society, who indulge in smuggling, robbery etc. On the other hand, some of our karavali kids are not rich enough to go and enjoy camel ride at Rajasthan. Let them enjoy every moment of their childhood, which will never return in future. Your 10-20 Rs will help both the sides and make their life happy!
