Kasargod, Jun 12: Kasargod bordering Karnataka is currently going through a semi lockdown state because of covid19. The district had registered a 20 percent positivity rate just two weeks back. It has come down to 16.8 percent.
MAASH (Masters Against Anti Social Humans) squads of teachers have been putting in hard work to stop Covid19 on its tracks. The district administration of Kasargod which created these squads, has also been doing everything within its command to decimate the pandemic.
Under this concept, teachers have been posted for every ward as nodal officers. They visit every ward every day and educate people about Covid19.
The awareness committee of every ward also keeps close watch on every house. Therefore, as far as Covid is concerned, no house can escape attention. The squad plans to bring the positivity rate below ten percent. Compared to 13 Kerala districts, Covid is in good control in Kasargod district because of the sincere work put in by the squad, says a member of the squad, Gururaj.
