Mangaluru: 18 years above, travelling abroad must be vaccinated on priority - DC

Mangaluru, Jun 10: The district administration has directed the concerned authorities to ensure that the first dose of vaccine is available to all the people above 18 years destined to travel abroad.

Deputy commissioner, Dr Rajendra K V has directed to get all of them vaccinated from Monday, June 14 at any of the district primary health centres, city health centres or other vaccination centres.

People travelling abroad can produce their passport, visa or passenger ticket as proof of travel and get themselves vaccinated on priority.

    What if the passenger is travelling on a fresh Residence Visa. He will have to mandatorilu take both the doses again ad per their specified vaccine. Won't there be a mismatch. How and where will he take the second dose. I hope the DC has considered requirements of other countries.

    Indian Government should add Passport no. on vaccination certificate. Without Passport no. on certificate, the vaccination certificate is not valid in Gulf and other foreign countries.
