Mangaluru, Jun 8: A 25-year-old woman filed a police complaint against her husband alleging that her husband has kidnaped her 14-month-old girl child from her residence in Kadri Alvares Road on March 23 earlier this year.
In her complaint filed on May 26 at Kadri police station here, the woman alleged that her husband was unemployed and staying at home. There is an attempt to murder case under the jurisdiction of Kodagu district police and a theft case within the limits of Vittal police station registered against his name. The accused who came in his car on March 23 at 4.10 pm to her residence, allegedly kidnapped the 14-month-old child.

The woman also alleged that her husband kidnapped the child with a criminal intent to sell the child for money. She has also said in the complaint that her husband's relatives also coordinated with her husband in the crime.
The police have booked a case under IPC section 363, 370, 373 R/W 149.
According to sources, the husband and wife belong to different faiths which led to indifference in their relationship. Reportedly, the husband was pressurising his wife to follow his faith.
