Bengaluru, Jun 7: Karnataka on Monday, June 7 registered 11,958 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 2,38,824. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally has come down to 1,992 new cases.
As many as 340 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Monday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 199 deaths and Ballari nine. With this, the death toll so far has risen to 31,920.
The state recorded 27,299 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 24,36,716.
So far, Karnataka has seen 27,07,481 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 9.08%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.84%
As many as 1,53,34,586 people have received vaccination so far.
