Udupi, Jun 7: In a shocking incident, a man has been caught on CCTV for stealing his neighbour's cow and later slaughtering it in the bathroom of his house. The accused then went ahead and even sold the slaughtered meat.
This heinous crime is reported from Nejar in the district.
Yamana Gangadhara, a resident of Pragati Nagar in Nejar had left his cow for grazing on the morning of Sunday, June 6. It is alleged that his neighbour Ibrahim took the cow to his house at around 11.45 am. Ibrahim slaughtered the animal in his house and sold the meat.
The act of accused Ibrahim where he is seen dragging the cow forcefully has been caught on CCTV. Based on the clip, the owner of the cow filed a complaint with Malpe police. The police have arrested the accused.
A case in this regard is registered in Malpe police station.
