Bengaluru, Jun 7: Dakshina Kannada (DK) district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary met union minister D V Sadananda Gowda in Bengaluru on Sunday June 6 and requested him to release additiona Covid vaccines to Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Minister Poojary appealed to union minister Sadananda Gowda that the twin districts are facing acute shortage of Covid vaccines and the supply needs to be increased.
Responding to this appeal from minister Poojary, according to the publication from the office of district in-charge minister, union minister Gowda has directed deputy chief minister Dr Ashwathanarayan and other concerned officials to release additional 25,000 doses of Covid vaccine.
