Bengaluru, Jun 6: The tussle between two lady IAS officers in Mysuru has come to an end with the transfer of both these officers. While Rohini Sindhuri had accused the city corpooration of totally failing to control Covid-19 infection, Shilpa had resigned and condemned the functioning style of the deputy commissioner.
In a late night move, the government had transferred Mysuru deputy commissioner, Rohini Sindhuri, and Mysuru city corporation commissioner, Shilpa Nag. While Rohini has been made the commissioner in the department of religious endowments, Shilpa Nag has been made the director of rural development and panchayat raj department.
Feeling aggrieved by this action, Rohini Sindhuri wanted to meet chief minister, B S YIediyurappa, early in the morning on Sunday June 6. After waiting for about two-and-a-half hours, she finally met the chief minister and requested him to cancel her transfer order.
The chief minister however was not willing to uphold her request. He told her in no uncertain terms that he is not in favour of stalling her transfer. Therefore, it is learnt, Rohini had to return empty handed.
The chief minister, speaking about meeting Rohini Sindhuri, said that she wanted cancellation of her transfer and that he had rejected her request.
The friction between these two IAS officers in Mysuru had created a piquant situation for the state government. The government has found a solution to the problem by transferring both of them.
