Mangaluru, Jun 3: Former minister and MLA U T Khader on Thursday June 3 said that he will retire from politics if it is proved that he has misled public over Covid vaccines.
Addressing a press meet here at the circuit house, Khader said, "The government is involved in doing politics instead of speaking on science and logic behind the vaccine. So, I request the representatives that instead of indulging in politics over the vaccine, speak about the logic and science behind vaccine.
"Congress is being accused of misleading the public. If it is proven that I delivered misleading statements over vaccines, I will quit politics.
“BJP is hurling false accusations to mislead people. They should be ashamed of doing so. The union and state governments failed to provide adequate vaccines to the people. Though the vaccines were available for the private hospitals, the government failed to avail sufficient vaccines. The government should say how many vaccines are produced in a day, and to whom it is being supplied,” he said.
Khader further said, “The government is creating confusion over academics. It has no proper stand on education. Without announcing any package to the teachers, the government is making teachers’ lives miserable. There is no clarity on SSLC and second PU exams. The country is ahead in the IT sector. The government can use technical methods to conduct exams. They should think over this.”
