May 21: Dakshina Kannada reports 864 fresh corona cases, 855 in Udupi; 14 deaths in twin districts

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 21: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 864 fresh coronavirus cases on Friday. The alarming rise in the number of new cases has pushed the total number of positive cases to 68,527. This further has raised the number of active cases to 10,398.

A total of 8,20,577 samples have been tested. Out of which 7,52,050 are negative.

As many as 1,166 people were discharged on Friday, A total of 845 deaths have occurred so far, including seven on Friday.

Around Rs 58,16,030 in fines have collected for 55,667 mask violations in the district.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 50,903 including 855 fresh cases on Friday. Out of these, 5960 cases are currently active.

Over 5,59,210 samples have been tested so far.

As many as 1223 patients were discharged on Friday. A total of 293 deaths have occurred so far, including seven on Friday.
