Bengaluru, May 20: BJP people representatives of the city South Lok Sabha constituency held a press conference on Thursday, May 20. MP Tejasvi Surya, revenue minister, R Ashok, MLAs Ravi Subramanya and Garudachar and BJP south district president, N R Ramesh were present.
Speaking in the press meet Tejasvi expressed rage against Congress leaders. He said, “From the past few days members of Congress political party are giving heated statements. They have said that state and central BJP governments are not responsive. We will tell them what 25 BJP MPs of the state have done."
“Before the onset of the second wave of coronavirus, PM Modi had instructed all on March 17. All preparations required at every stage were made. The union government was not sleeping. The weapon we needed to face the coronavirus was a vaccine. No vaccine was available for doctors and nurses in the first wave. Except for India, no other nation had the capacity of starting and executing vaccination. By September, 10 crore people will be vaccinated," he informed.
“When the union government was fighting against the coronavirus pandemic in addition to providing vaccine to the public, Congress made false propaganda against the vaccine. They said that it is a BJP vaccine. We see hypocritical politicians who do not have moral," he added.
“What does Congress think about the people of this country? MLA UT Khader, who had made false propaganda at the beginning about the vaccine, later took the vaccine and spoke about it on social media," he said.
“I will answer those who are asking the question as to what BJP MPs of Karnataka are doing. All of them are in constant touch with the union government in procuring oxygen to the state," Surya said.
Earlier, Tejasvi Surya had accused BBMP control room personnel of blocking the beds that were meant to be given to coronavirus patients. For falsely accusing 17 Muslims who worked for the BBMP corona warrior group the MP was trolled by the public. He had also visited the control room and sought an apology from the personnel.
