Karnataka records 39,510 new coronavirus cases, 480 deaths in single day

Bengaluru, May 11: Karnataka on Tuesday, May 11 recorded another sharp rise in the number of coronavirus cases, adding 39,510 cases to its tally.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state rose to 5,87,452. Bengaluru Urban alone accounted for 15,879 cases in a single day.

As many as 480 deaths due to coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, with Bengaluru Urban recording 259 deaths and Ballari 28. With this, the toll so far has risen to 19,852.

The state recorded 22,584 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 14,05,869.

So far, Karnataka has seen 20,13,193 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 33.99%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.21%.

As many as 1,07,59,572 people have received vaccination so far.

    AT LEAST 96 unidentified bodies – many of them decomposed and bloated – have been found floating in the Ganga over the past couple of days, triggering fears among local residents in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh that bodies of Covid victims were being dumped in the river. The Union Health Ministry Tuesday appreciated Covid-19 containment models of Mumbai and Pune, saying that such models need to be replicated at the national level to curb the spread of the pandemic. The way in which Pune contained the upsurge of COVID-19 cases also drew praise from the Ministry, calling it as a fine example that shows how containment measures can help restrict the spread of the disease. Okay Bhakths, Gujarat Model, UP model, MP model and all gone. This is the same model some bhakths were talking about day in and day out with their venomous hand/mouth/heart. Now the stone that the elders rejected became Corner Stone!!!

    Daily Deaths? Are from virus or vaccines (generated mutants) is the main question? Instead in the first place pilot testing these hurriedly short term tested vaccines in a particular district one or two for each type of vaccine in a different states for a month or two keeping ready vital emergency medical staff and equipments and then after all ok gone for the full scale mass vaccination was the better option. Some of these vaccines have not completed proper third phase testing. Now difficult to isolate whether it is a virus mutant or vaccine generated mutant. Blindly believing in this communist chinese virus and communist leaning liberal western vaccines these things bound to happen.
