May 3: Dakshina Kannada reports 793 fresh corona cases, Udupi records 529

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 3: The district of Dakshina Kannada, on Monday, reported 793 positive cases. The total positive cases reported so far are 47,831.

The rise in the new cases has left the district administration concerned.

The bulletin from the health department stated that on Monday as many as 505 patients have been discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged from hospitals are 39,188.

A total of 752,794 samples have been tested of which 704,957 are negative.

The district has 7,883 active cases.

The total death toll has risen to 760.

The officials have collected Rs 53,30,330 in fines so far for 50,984 mask violations.

 

Udupi

As per the health bulletin, Udupi has reported 529 positive cases on Monday. The total number of infected patients is 33,154.

As of Monday, 549 patients have discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged are 30,465.

A total of 511,951 samples have been tested.

The total active cases 2,488 in the district. The total death toll due to Covid-19 in the district is 201.

    Cases increased because District Administrator didn't track the people coming from Maharashtra, Bengaluru, Delhi or other states ... Most of them not following quarantine rules... Govt thinks they announced lockdown so everything will be fine..

    Its only 0.3% of total population. Nothing to worry. Most of them are gulf returnees.

    We can control the cases of corona virus .by keeping the city complete lockdown. Complete lockdown means groceries shops should be open 6 am to 10 am.movement of public by their vechicles should be stopped by 11 am.people who have come out for buying things in market,should go to their house within 11am. There after the movement of public should not be there after 11am.people who wants to go bank they can go to bank and complete their work within 11 am .

    Just to add ,,Wear your mask properly ,Maintain social distancing ,,do not touch each other .. AFter coming back home ..take care ..better to have a bath in hot water.. Also get yourself vaccinated if eligible ...Do not stand close to each other .. Sometime I find it comical to mention about social distancing .. I some how find that people here easily rub against each other ..
