Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, May 1: Because of unbridled felling of trees, a time has come in which we are compelled to buy oxygen. Still, many do not learn their lessons. At The same time, it is heartening to know that there are many who have nursed love for nature in their hearts. Because of their love, they have continued to involve with nature-friendly activities even during the hard lockdown period, braving harsh summer.

There is a 'Joggers Park' near Maryhill helipad in the city. A number of people visit this park every morning and evening. Some of them, who want to see the plants and trees in full health and bloom, bring cans full of water and water the vegetation in the park.

The area is kept green under the supervision of head constable of the city crime intelligence bureau, Harish Padavinangady. The Joggers Park has several jamun, Honge, tamarind, guava, neem, and coconut plants. As the area gets a lot of sunshine, the plants are watered to make sure they do not wither.

Grown up trees have been provided with platforms around their bases. At the base of the trees, Tulsi, and flower plants have been planted. Sometimes miscreants showcase their immature mind by destroying the plants and discarding waste at the park.

Nagesh Rao Kallianpur, retired joint commercial taxes commissioner, says that everyone who lives on the earth, who breathes the air from the environment has to think what they can give in return to the environment. He said he and some other people have been watering the plants and trees every day.
