Three rescued from drowning at Goa beach

Panaji, Apr 27: Lifeguards rescued three tourists from drowning at Candolim and Baga beaches. Two Brazil nationals aged 27 and 28 were among the rescued.

The Brazilians had ventured into the water for a swim at Candolim beach when they got pulled in by a rip current and started drifting in the deep areas, Drishti reported. Seeing the two struggling for help, Drishti lifesavers dashed into the water and rescued them.

In another incident at Baga beach, a 29-year old man from Uttar Pradesh was rescued as struggled to swim ashore from the sea.
